We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection And Use

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name (“Personal Information”).

Log Data

Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”).

This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this.

Face Data

The primary functionality of the Hotshot application is create fun photos of you and your friends.

In order to create these fun photos, you’ll choose 10-20 photos of yourself that will be securely uploaded to the Hotshot servers. Hotshot learns how you look based on these 10-20 photos, and these photos will only ever be used for Hotshot to learn how you look. Within 24 hours after your photos are uploaded to Hotshot servers, your photos will be permanently deleted from Hotshot servers. We will never share the photos you upload with 3rd parties.

In order to teach Hotshot how you look, you may optionally take a few photos of yourself on your iPhone. Using Apple's TrueDepth API, Hotshot uses your head rotation and expression information to find angles and photos of your face that will be optimal for learning your likeness. Your face data from the TrueDepth API used to derive the photos captured during this process is not stored on Hotshot servers, will never leave your device, and is also never shared with any 3rd parties.

In order to allow you to find your friends and family using Hotshot, we request access to your Contacts. If you choose to allow access to your Contacts, we upload a hashed, non-identifiable version of your Contacts to the Hotshot servers in order to calculate which of your friends and family are on Hotshot. We discard your address book as soon as we calculate these matches, and only ever repeat this process when we detect changes in your Contacts. This process of detecting changes is run locally on your phone when you open the Hotshot app.

Whenever you choose to do so, you can tap on a Contact from inside the Hotshot app to invite them to the Hotshot app to video chat with you.

Your contacts are never used for any other purposes. To be very clear, we do not store your Contacts on our server.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
